Our work in Mexico

Dental Care for Children has been traveling to Mexico for over 20 years to facilitate free dental clinics for the children in the impoverished communities of Ensenada and Montebello. In fact, it was an orphanage in Ensenada, Mexico where we first started our mission with two dentists and a truck filled with hand-made dental equipment. Since then we have grown to complete over 100 clinics in Mexico and helped over 15,000 children.

Both our volunteers and the children we help, treasure the time we spend at the orphanages and schools in these impoverished communities. As a way to give thanks, children often gather at the end of a clinic and say prayers of gratitude to individual volunteers. These precious words and bags of homemade tortillas are all they have to offer as a thanks and are more than enough to remind us of the depth of their need and the importance of our continued help.

Dental Care for Children has strong support from both the US Rotary and the Club Rotario Ensenada and has been commended by the Archbishop of Ensenada for our dental relief efforts in Ensenada schools.
